Mody’s Design Advantages & Materials of Construction
- All Mody Dewatering pumps use a 'water dam' sealing arrangement wherein the outer jacket (OD) of the cable is sealed using a grommet and the individual leads of the cable are sealed using a second compression grommet. This arrangement precludes the fluid from 'wicking' down into the motor in the event the outer jacket on the cord gets cut. We do NOT use silicones/epoxies. For demanding applications a three foot long stainless steel sheath protects the power cable.
- Built-in Automatic ON/OFF/ON Thermal Overload switches wired directly to built-in contactor are standard on the Side Discharge Series. Thermal Protection is optional on the Slimline Series when wired to external control box. Built-in Moisture Sensor that detects progressive seal wear which automatically shuts down the pump is optional on the Side Discharge Series.
- Continuous Duty rated "H" Class, triple-dipped and epoxied Heavy-duty Motors. Available in any voltage/frequency combinations.
- Equipped with Sacrificial Zinc Anodes for maximum life in a Saline fluid environment.
- Tandem Mechanical Seals on all pump series, include Tungsten Carbide faces.
- Mechanical Seals are all enclosed in pressure compensated oil bag / chamber.
- Field adjustable Nitrile Rubber Lined Diffuser/Wear Plate. Also available with Polyurethane.
